Extra-curricular activities

Gifted and talented

Gifted students are those whose potential is distinctly above average in one or more of the following areas of ability at school - intellectual, creative, social and physical.

Our gifted and talented program 'Think Tank' provides these students with learning opportunities on top of the normal curriculum.

Band

The school's band program provides children with the opportunity to develop musically and be part of a team. Band rehearsals, the excitement of competitions and the pleasure of performing as a team all contribute to a rich learning experience.

Choir

The school has two choirs. The stage 1 Choir is comprised of students from Year 1 and Year 2, Senior Choir, Year 5 and Year 6 students. The choirs are not audition based and students who enjoy the experience of choral singing are encouraged to join.

Students who are a member of a choir are required to attend weekly rehearsals and perform throughout the year at a number of school functions including assemblies, Education Week Performances, Sutherland Shire Schools Music Festival and the school's Performing Arts Night.

Dance

The school has five dance groups. The Junior dance group consists of students in Year 1 and Year 2, Year 3 girls group, Year 4 girls group, Boys Hip Hop, students in Year 1 to Year 6 and the Senior Dance Group for students in Year 5 and Year 6.

Students are required to pay a participation fee and attend weekly rehearsals. Dance groups perform at a range of events and competitions throughout the year.

Drama

The school's drama ensemble provides an opportunity for interested students to laugh, create, improvise and perform. Performance opportunities vary each year and students are required to audition for parts.
