At Kareela Public School, we believe in the transformative power of reading for pleasure and fostering a genuine love for literature. Our library shelves are stocked full with a rich assortment of books, from enchanting tales to thought-provoking novels, ensuring that everyone finds a story that captures their imagination.
Beyond the pages of books, our library is a hub of lifelong learning. With a commitment to information literacy, we empower our students with the skills to navigate information in the digital age. From evaluating sources to developing research skills, our library equips learners with tools to distinguish fact from fiction.
All students at Kareela Public School participate in library lessons once a week with a teacher librarian. The library is also open second half lunch from Monday to Thursday for students to enjoy a quiet space.

We would like to acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and pay respect to their Elders both past, present and future. Together we touch the ground of the Dharawal land. We reach for the sky of the Dharawal land and we touch our hearts for the Gweagal people, the traditional owners of this land
